In the eccentric Tarot deck that is Sabbat Justice, Ravnos Romani is the unexpected wild card. Born in a gypsy caravan travelling from town to town and carnival to carnival, Ravnos had an... unique upbringing, to say the least. All his life, his mother (and several top contenders for his father) taught him how to make a living by swindling the general populace and generally bending the law to it's breaking point. Ravnos excelled in the arts of thievery and sleight-of-hand, and also picked up a few other useful tricks like fortune-telling and the like with which he could better employ his larcenous talents. As he grew up, Ravnos ran afoul of the "gaje law" more times than he could count, but always slipped away unscathed through his quick wit and (if necessary) quick feet. Nothing truly mattered to Ravnos but the next challenge, the next con, the next prize.

Following the events of Crash Carnival: Queen of the Ring, Vyolynce was in need of someone to carry out his Machiavellian plans for revenge. He needed someone deceitful, someone cunning, someone who nobody in a million years could possibly be associated with himself or Sabbat Justice... In short, he needed Ravnos, and Ravnos was all too willing to step in. Unfortuantely those plans never came to fruition due to the backstage difficulties that eventually led to the group's departure from the WWA, but in that short time he had proven worthy of his position in the Darkness.

Upon hearing of the WWO's repoening, it was felt that the legendary federation needed a Sabbat Justice presence. Unfortunately, both Tigress and Vyolynce were already under contract to the UWF and neither Avanter nor Vehemence were anywhere to be found. Ravnos volunteered his services, and even recruited his youger brother Niklos into the fold.

In short order, the Romanis tore through the WWO Tag ranks, flirting with the championship before being twice-thwarted by the team of P.A.I.N.. The Romanis, frustrated with what they perceived to be the same old biases, decided that was the time to ramp things up, and Ravnos dug back to his roots -- and, indeed, his now-family -- to unleash Sabbat Justice upon the WWO. When they finally got their first official title shot against the Vegas Connection (thanks to some spiritual and mental games to get PAIN out of the way) and claimed the straps, Ravnos made his move.

Although the roster may have been different than the usual names underneath that banner (whom the Romanis and their compatriot Papa Legba now join in the UWF), the results were comprable. The Romanis, with the voodoo man for added muscle, literally began destroying the opposition. Most notably, the team of the Blood Brothers, who had been the first to get in the way of the newly-christened Arcana trio; in one of the last WWO programs televised, the three men crippled Jake Thomas in the middle of the ring, perhaps ending his career forever and forcibly denying them the title shot many felt they would have earned in the immediate future.

It was not long after that that outside pressures forced the WWO to close its doors, and the Arcana were left with only one logical choice: it was time to unite the sects in the UWF and show the world what true dominance Sabbat Justice could achieve.

If you ask Ravnos, he'd probably say that it was fated to be. But he's always saying things like that.
