The Ceremony

The Ceremony

After the mothers were seated, Rev. Dr. Kennedy and Chris were the first out; for those wondering, the purpose of the robes were to not be tuxedos.

Maid of Honor Mandy Hugyez.

Brother of the bride and groomsman Jeff (Clay) Dunn. He didn't want to wear a robe, but agreed to a cloak that matched his suit.

Amanda Kesterson awaits her husband's entrance.

Best man Kevin Kesterson.

Kat's adorable ringbearer, Aaron, took his job SERIOUSLY!

Kiki the Flower Girl; unfortunately, she ran out of flowers within her first three steps.

Can you tell which groomsman was a last-minute replacement? Had we known that Earl Fuller (Kat's Tae Kwan Do instructor) was up for wearing the spare robe, you probably wouldn't be able to.

Bridesmaids (from left to right) Mandy, Joy and Keri. There was some confusion as to how to line them up, so they are reversed from their originally intended order. Ironically, we thought we were going to need a last minute replacement on Kat's side instead of Chris's.

The last duty of the father. The whole theme of the wedding was to shatter as many conventions as possible, but Kat's dad still got to give her away. Oh, and he likes the in-laws, which is always a plus.

Hardest part of the ceremony? Resisting the urge to make faces at each other.

Passing the cup. This is probably the only time in Chris's life that he'll ever imbibe in alcohol. In true Dunn fashion, Kat polished off the rest at the end of the ceremony (with some help from Donna, the groom's mother).

While exchanging wedding rings on your left hands binds you forever together in spirit, when you have experienced the ritual of Hand Fasting with your right hands, you are telling the world that, as long as I am on this earth, I am bound to my partner with all my heart and soul.

"You may kiss the bride." And he damn well did.

Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time, Christopher Howard and Katherine Dunn Ingersoll!
